Kuala Kubu Bharu, Malaysia

February 9th, 2007 by Olaf Bound.s

As promised, I’m posting today photos taken on the Kuala Kubu Bharu golf course that I believe will give you the ultimate cheapest golfing experience. This course layout is a very challenging golf course.

Hole 1, par 4 400 yards
We start off with the first hole, which is directly next to the ninth hole. This par 4 is a 400 yard hole with a trees lining up if your tee shot reaches the left side. On the right awaiting beautiful slices is a water hazard. The green is slightly elevated with the size not dissimilar to a common bus stand.

hole 10, pard 4 424 yard
The 10th Hole is a beautiful 424 yard pard 4, with hazards waiting all-round. A daunting index 2 hole requires you to have a drive of at least 240 yards carry (downhill) to have any chance to attacking the green. Just about 100 yards from the green is a small little drainage (about 40 yards wide), which collected balls as an ambition.

hole 13.par 4 343 yards
But my favorite signature hole is this beautiful 13th hole. Only 343 yards, it is an index 6. I’ve taken a shot at the description of the hole. Don’t be fooled by the sign indicating the water hazard coz the green is directly across the water hazard and is located at least a floor higher. A daunting task for high handicappers like old olaf here.

Hey! If you feel like it why not take a small step for golf-kind. However, be warned and prepared for “old olaf” lost a total of 15 balls.

  • You forgot to mention the hole where the green is located on the level two of a three-level “hill resort”!

  • It’s the 13th hole. And don’t forget to bring more balls.

  • KKB Golf Course seems to be challenging and attractive to the pros. Is it possible that the club starts a golf school?

  • Umi-this is indeed a very challenging course. As for starting a golf school there is up to the management of the Resort. But what a course!

  • Golfnick, tell me more what would you expect of a golf course. From your experience on which course that you truly enjoyed your golf game most & why?

  • Umi-to answer your question in the comments area would be a bit too lengthy. But you can go to Ratings of a Golf Course post. However, there are plenty of other great courses I have not mentioned here. Good Golfing!
