New Guns in the Golf world

Let’s face it! Everyone will agree that Tiger’s dominance is not over. Not for the next 5 to 10 years. But where is the next challenge going to from. Is anyone willing to come up the ranks to challenge him as the world no1. After all, Vijay is the only guy to wrestle it from him briefly (while he was injured). But let’s face it, the so-called fab four(outside of Tiger Woods) is not really giving him much of a fight are they? Who?? Fab Four? Just info for those out there who have just started reading anything about Golf about yesterday. It used to be….

1. Vijay Singh

2. Phil Mickelson

3. Ernie Els

4. Retief Goosen

Somehow, apart from a brief period only Vijay stood up to be counted and while Tiger was out injured. So, now what! Can we think of a new fab four to replace them and see if they can be counted on to challenge Tiger! Well! I think we may now see glimpses of these new four aces…in my opinion anyway. Who are they??

1. Anthony Kim

This young man who holds the club about 2-3 inches down the grip and can even smile under pressure.

2. Rory McIlroy

Time for everyone to start noticing that Europe may have a new hero to cheer for. Excellent swing, well tempered!

3. Camilo Villegas

Mr. Spiderman on the green. Handsome, charming, talented and a great swing!

4. Ryo Ishikawa

Teenage Japanese Sensation!A bit of a longshot but extremely talented. I would think he would make a bigger impact than KJ Choi as an Asian. But will he have the impact needed….time will tell!

Four totally different personalities! Four different nationalities! Wow! Golf is definitely heading for some exiting times ahead! More importantly, let’s hope all of these 4 players will truly be a world player like Ernie, rather than a Phil who plays mainly in the US of A. Taking nothing from him but for the grand masses of golf lovers around the world, who wouldn’t love to see a Tiger or Ernie up close rather than through the tube!

I, of course being a Tiger supporter hopes that his dominance will continue for a few years yet! But these extremely talented young guns are right behind! I also feel its not the right time to right off some of previous “fab-four” either. One feels there are a few “majors” left between them. Let’s not forget Padraig Harrington as well!

Better get back to my tube to not lose any great action from these new exiciting times!
